Mommy can I
Mommy can I pee on that tree? Hmmmmm…. I feel fairly certain that I wouldn’t have heard that question on a regular basis if I’d had girls instead of boys. I’m not necessarily complaining but I swear Ian must’ve been a dog in a former life.. let me clarify. He must’ve been a MALE dog. That boy feels the need to “mark his turf” everywhere we go! There isn’t a store, bank or house that we’ve been to that Ian hasn’t felt this urgent need to “I gotta GO!”
And there’s more! Between Nathan’s fever of 103 and my 3 day long migraine marathon I’ve been neglecting my poor blog. I have so much to say today! For instance, this is what I caught myself saying to Nathan earlier “Get your Thingy McBopper out of your bowl!” Oh NO I didn’t! ummmm yes I did. Have no fear, I didn’t actually call it a “Thingy McBopper” (although I’ve been known to) in real life, I instead used the anatomically correct word but didn’t want any creeps to search for that word and boys and find my site. Want to know the worst part? I was on the PHONE with a doctors office and multi-tasking (aka changing a diaper)… eye.. yie… yie… What have I become?! A mom of boys, that’s what.
Then last night was Ian’s first baseball practice. I didn’t get to go since Nathan was so sick but my husband took him and gave me this report. “The coaches asked each kid to introduce themselves and then asked them how long they’ve been playing baseball”. Keep in mind this is T-BALL.. lol so the coaches were being funny. They asked a couple of kids and they shyly answered with their name but they had no idea how to answer the question of their experience. Ian yelled out “What about me!? I want to introduce myself”. So he did…. “My name is Ian and I’ve been playing baseball for 40 years!”. Ummmmmm…. hope you can live up to that buddy!
There is so much more to say, but alas I guess I should feed these boys. I’ll end with:
Boys are a blast… there are some parts that I could do without (such as the peeing on trees) but all in all, it’s all good.

40 years ! hahah that’s cute
LOL!! When my nephew was younger he was into peeing on trees too and my niece would have a fit because she wanted to try it. One day she was standing there covered in pee and not happy that it didn’t quite work for her, LOL!! Being a mom of boys sure is funny!
My boys have had peed in every public place in town (and all over the yard too)! EWW! LOL They are so big now Daddy has to take them to the boys room. They are too big for the girls room now!
I have suffered with migraines all my life, so I feel for ya! And, about the boy thing, you know what they say….”Boys will be boys!”.
Moms of boys just have a different language. But it’s OK. We all speak it!
HAHA, This is the cutest story!
