Ain’t I hip?
I bought me some of them there new fangled jeans that all the teenage girls are wearing. I think I may be a couple of years behind the trend but hey, I succumbed! Better late than never, right?
I went jean shopping with my sister-in-law who is much younger and much more hip than I am. She convinced me to try on a pair of those stretchy, hip huggin, boot leg flarin jeans. I hollered NO Way! Give me Levi 501’s please! I couldn’t find any of my beloved 501’s (doubt I could’ve found a pair large enough to fit my current posterior anyway) and I was in desperate need of jeans. I’d recently been to many stores and continually turned my nose up at these things they call “jeans” nowadays but they were consistently the only jeans in existence. I relented and into the dressing room I went.
Next thing I knew, I was the owner of Style. That’s right, little ole me (Big Old ME would be more accurate see Queen of De-Nile if you missed that announcement!). I have a pair of teenie bopper jeans in a size large enough to cloak two of those pre-teens. Oh and they don’t LOOK new… no, I’m sure I paid extra for the rough edges and worn, frayed bits.
I’m not only showing my age, but my underwear. Guess the next thing to go will be the Granny Panties.
Any pants I’ll be buying will be coming with a big stretchy oh so sexy belly band thingy !

You are so hip!! I finally bought new jeans after looking forever for jeans that don’t have a flare on the bottom. I was informed that was the style and to embrace it. I don’t mind embracing a style but why the flare?

OMG! That is so funny! I know what you mean about showing your underwear! I have to make sure that my shirt is long enough to cover my butt when I sit! It is nice to know that I am not the only one with these “issues”….
