I’ve been trying to figure out how in the world Nathan was getting out of his crib. Every scenario I could think of were giving me panic attacks. Well the truth is as bad as I feared. I decided to put my Flip camera in his room and observe how he did it. I didn’t have to wait long… here it is!
The above link may not work for everyone… here it is on youtube
This child scares me!

I don’t know, that still looked a bit nerve-wracking to me! I guess the crib is a done thing, now.
What a little turkey! There will be no peaceful sleep in that house for awhile. Mama…keep one ear open, and one eye open for that little imp that crawls around in the night. Hugs
lol I remember Ryne doing that just one day hopped right over the top of the crib…I had to put him back in the crib for one night because I needed to find the instructions for converting his crib to a toddler bed, I was so nervous the entire night knowing he could just hop out of bed so easily…..boys are nerve wracking
Oh. My. Goodness. Makes me SO glad that mine wasn’t ever a climber! And he looks so sweet and innocent in person!
I have seen alot of kids do that! How close is that dresser, I’d be scared of him falling backwards and smacking his head on it.
Jenn, that dresser is history! As soon as I saw that video I said “that dresser has to GO”.
I think we’re going to move him into a toddler bed this weekend if my heart can hold out until then.
Wine mummy???? He’s good! I am impressed- or should I be unimpressed… hmmmm
Heheheh look at the little cutie go! Definately looks like something one of my monkeys would do. As a matter of fact that is exactly what Lilla does now. We just dropped the side of the crib about 8 months ago to make it less of a bang when she does fall. At least you have him on video for later in life.
Good luck.
My older kids were all in their bed with their bed guard thing at around 16 months because they did the great escape too!
I showed the video to DH and he couldn’t believe it — Susie never did anything like that! He was like, “wow, is this what we have to look forward to with a boy???”
Holly crap!!!!! that little stinker!!! how old is he? he looks around my youngest sons age, he is 2 yrs. I still have him in the crib, but my husband thinks that I am babying him and need to move him to a toddler bed. But I say he’s not climbing out yet so can’t he just stay in there?? your little one is way to funny!!! man, good thing he get’s out without any injuries!!! lol
